How It Works

DreamPot Technology

The DreamPot operates by a thermal cooking process which eliminates the need for a constant power source and enables portability so you can take it anywhere. This makes the DreamPot extremely energy-efficient and convenient for travel or even at home.

The DreamPot comes complete with one or two 18/8 stainless steel inner pots with a heavy sandwich base, strong handles and 18/8 stainless lids with a food grade knob.

The insulation of this high-quality stainless steel enables the versatile capabilities of thermal cooking which allows for a gentle cooking process so your meal cannot burn, boil dry or overcook.

The DreamPot also allows for versatility in quantity – you can cook a large family meal or a single smaller meal, or two courses!

Did we mention no power?

Imagine a delicious meal of slow-cooked lamb shanks and then imagine enjoying it knowing you’ve just shaved over 5 hours of electricity off your power bill! Tastes so much better, right?

How does that work?!

With the thermal capabilities we mentioned above, it means the cooking process only needs to be started initially on the stove (or any other heat source which means you can save on energy costs entirely!). So, you could start your lamb shanks for 15 minutes, and then do the rest for a minimum of 5 hours in the miracle DreamPot! You can potentially save approximately 80% of your electricity and energy costs.

How does it compare to conventional cooking?

Meal Conventional cooking time on stove Boiling time on stove(using DreamPot thermal cooking process) Minimum cooking time in DreamPot Energy saved with DreamPot cooking
Corned Meat / Pickled Pork 3 hours 20 minutes 3 hours 88%
Pot Roast 3 hours 30 minutes 3 hours 83%
Soups, stews & curries 1.5 hours 10 minutes 1.5 hours 88%
Rice 30 minutes 2 minutes 30 minutes 93%
Lamb shanks 5 hours 15 minutes 5 hours 95%

So, how do I use it?

It’s as easy as: start it, transfer it, leave it, eat and enjoy it… Just love it!

Step 1: Start it Step 2: Transfer it Step 3: Leave it Step 4: Eat it!
Put ingredients into the supplied DreamPot inner saucepan.  Then place saucepan on any heat source to start the cooking process.  Boil/heat/partially cook for a short time with lid on (times are stated for each DreamPot recipe). Stir occasionally. Once timings are complete, transfer the inner saucepan into the DreamPot and close the lid. The DreamPot will continue to cook your meal until ready. (It’s time for time, just like your kitchen oven). No further energy consumption will be used, thanks to the DreamPot’s insulation, which maintains the cooking temperature of the saucepans! No stirring or checking is necessary. After the minimum required cooking time your meal is ready to serve.  Enjoy now or later; if the meal is ready before you are, it will keep safely hot in the DreamPot.

We are accredited with an Australian Food Handling licence.  Food safety is extremely important to us!  Our expert experience and knowledge, combined with the quality of the DreamPot thermal cooking process means you’ll never be in doubt. The cooked meal will be maintained in the safe temperature zone by following the instructions in the DreamPot Recipe Book & User Guide. The golden rule is you can change the recipe ingredients, but don’t change the boiling time on the stove or open the DreamPot before the minimum cooking time is completed.   Always remember, serve hot food hot, and cold food cold! The Australian Food Standards recommend keeping chilled food below 5C and hot food above 60C.
